Jodi
is an artist living in Needham, Massachusetts and is currently working in
pastels and oils. She has been drawing and painting all her life. Inspired by
dramatic light and color in nature, she has a passion for painting outdoors
whenever possible. Her work has also been described as peaceful and hopes that
her paintings convey a sense of serenity for the viewer.
For the past few years she was represented by the Green Heron Gallery in
Ogunquit, Maine(now closed). Her one person shows include the Wellesley Public
Library, The River Gallery and Restaurant in Damariscotta, Maine, Art Emporium
in Needham, the Medfield Public Library and the United Parish Gallery space (in
Auburndale, MA). She has also exhibited with Newton Open Studios (including
their juried show), The Red Door, Zullo Gallery, Custom Art Framing and
Gallery, the Wellesley Community Center, the Walpole Public Library, and
Brandeis University. Her work has won various awards and was accepted for a
corporate installation at Milton Hospital. Her prints were represented at L’
attitude Gallery in the South End, Boston. She is a member of the Wellesley
Society of Artists and was a featured artist on “Art Beat”, a local show for
Cable TV. She has studied with master artists Susan Kelley and David Curtis. Jodi
has a BA in Fine Arts from Brandeis University and has studied at New England
School of Art and Design.
